Abstract

This work intends to stablish a synthesis of the historical period that begins with the civil-military putsch of 1964 until our days. The political economy of the USA imperialism and the political and economic transformations ocurred in Brazil in this period under its influence show us a victory of dictatorial forces. The particular evolution of the Brazilian society under these conditions and the global economic crisis started in the midlle 70s, followed by its theoretical misunderstanding by the populardemocratic and socialist forces, drove the country towards a serious and unexpected involution of his republican life.
