BRAZILIAN GRAMMATICAL NOMENCLATURE (NGB) IN THE WAKE OF THE HISTORY OF LINGUISTIC IDEAS

This article aims to deal, moderately, with the history of the (implicit) linguistic instrument known as NGB and its impact on Brazilian grammatical historiography. The unraveling of a key issue – NGB and grammatical production – was proposed so that the act of historicizing the (meta)linguistic document would not become a simple biobibliographic act. The readings undertaken and inferred with regard to the official document were materialized in the field of this key issue, having, therefore, two paths of historicization: 1) Official metalinguistic document – the history of the NGB; 2) Official document and grammar teaching. This work shows that the process of Brazilian (neo)grammatization has been producing a combat discourse or a discourse of acceptance of the document, since in the body of linguistic instruments - grammars -, which have emerged continuously, what is established by the NGB appears.
