Resumen

We developed an analysis on a parallel corpus of texts taken from a bilingual journal of Cardiology. Based on Baker´s proposals (1993, 1995, 1996) and using the software WordSmith tools, we examined words from medical terminology and also observed features of simplification and explicitation.
