Abstract

Resumo

Nesse estudo analisamos alguns aspectos sobre a pesquisa em Educação Algébrica, dentre eles a caracterização de álgebra e pensamento algébrico na educação básica, bem como de dificuldades na introdução e desenvolvimento de conteúdos relativos a essa subárea da matemática. Assim, apresentamos alguns questionamentos visando provocar reflexões sobre resultados de pesquisas e alguns desafios em Educação Algébrica na educação básica. Desse modo, apresentamos elementos para reflexão sobre características da álgebra e do pensamento algébrico, sobre possibilidades de abordagem introdutória da álgebra e também sobre perspectivas para pesquisas e para o desenvolvimento práticas pedagógicas de álgebra na educação básica.

Abstract

In this study we analyze some aspects of research in Algebraic Education, including a characterization of algebra and algebraic thinking in basic education (up to 12th grade), as well as difficulties in the introduction and development of the content relating to this sub-area of mathematics. Questions are proposed in order to ignite reflections on research findings and challenges in Algebraic Education in basic education. We also propose elements for reflections on features of algebra and algebraic thinking; introductory algebra approaches, and perspectives for the research and teaching of algebra in basic education.
