About the Journal

Focus and Scope
The Mathematics Education Research Journal of the Postgraduate Studies Program in Mathematics Education at PUC-SP is published continuously with the aim of providing an international space for the dissemination of scientific research in the field. For many years it has contributed to this objective and, therefore, has achieved international recognition. Known for its excellence in the educational field, it disseminates contemporary themes, published in national and international "calls for papers" and "research agendas." Furthermore, it always brings new, relevant, and interesting questions for the development of the area.

The policy adopted in its editorial project prioritizes scientific articles related to Mathematics Education that are original in Brazil and, in particular, those that address the program's research lines: Mathematics Education in Different Spaces and Contexts; Teacher Training and Professional Development in the context of Mathematics Education; and Trends in Mathematics Education. The priority given to the described lines is not restricted to theoretical references; on the contrary, it is expected that the journal will reflect the diversity that characterizes research in Mathematics Education. Thus, it receives historical, philosophical, epistemological, cultural, curricular, didactic, and psychological works, among many others, on Mathematics, which have Mathematics Education in its various modalities as their main focus.
