The work takes as its study object human resource professionals. How they represent the necessary qualities for the “good candidate” for a job vacancy? Two sets of data were analyzed: articles, interviews and publications on the site RH.COM.BR, and ten interviews with human resource professionals. The results indicate that, particularly with regard to graduates of higher education, the key qualities demanded by the group were signs of “civilized behavior”, the ability to forge a “facade” appropriate to the business world, and care for the “self” able to harness the “professional project” to “life project”.Downloads
