Models are abstractions that help us understand and act on reality (Fischer, 2001). People management is characterized as a set of policies and practices that allow the reconciliation of expectations between the organization and people, so that both can realize them over time (Dutra, Dutra, & Dutra, 2017).To better understand how these models are characterized, we will present the theories of different authors and their respective works on this concept: Arthur (1992, 1994), Lepak and Snell (1999, 2002), Gondim, Souza and Peixoto (2013) and Fischer (2001, 2002, 2015).
