Manga is a global phenomenon, and international interest in the subject has grown over the years, leading to translation and publication in various languages around the world. This allows for the dissemination of images and values of Japanese culture, consolidating Japan as a cultural superpower. It is a highly competitive market, with new titles being released regularly. This leads to a constant search for innovation in the way stories are told, the choice of theme, or the composition of characters by creators to attract and retain readers. Therefore, it is important to assess how women appear in these publications, as they represent values that shape femininity standards for women worldwide.
