The mean objective of this article is to problematize the utilization of the posters of the British government propaganda in the Second World War. This posters were produced by the Ministry of Information, and they took various elements of the British imaginary, in a thorough semiotic, to make new meanings of these elements. Creating intentions of maintaining the social and cultural life. The poster occupies a space of great importance in the modern city, mainly after the changes of the First World War, when it became a frame of pictures and texts, articulated in the same speech. These posters were posted in place of greatest movement in the cities, these pieces of propaganda of the State entering directly into the daily lives of British citizens, who experience the war in many ways. The work with the posters can open up ways of research and investigation regarding the forms of change and attempts at social control by the state, the reception of messages from the people, its tensions and its forms of representation.Downloads
