Antropofagia e canibalismo no jornal O Homem do Povo

Abstract

This study is a snip of the thesis "Oswald de Andrade no jornal “O Homem do Povo”, selecting points of comparison between the expression of Astrojildo Pereira’s critical work (who was protected by pseudonyms), and the modernist Oswald de Andrade, in the subversive newspaper Homem do Povo (March – April 1931). The discovery that reveals the substantial cooperation of the article writer Astrojildo Pereira in the newspaper makes possible a comparison of Andrade’s and Pereira’s protests - being the last also a founder of Brazil’s Communist Party. His elaborations, especially under the pseudonym "Aurelinio Corvo" (Aurelino Raven) are greater if compared to Andrade’s other employees.
