De volta a Adorno na interpretação da cultura
Keywords:
T.W. Adorno, Fredric Jameson, interpretation, cultureAbstract
This essay argues for the actuality of T.W. Adorno's criticism for the interpretation of culture today. By comparing it with Fredric Jameson's, it becomes clear that Adorno's thought does not sever object and method, does not dissociate the interpreter from the material he or she is analyzing, nor does it refrain from dealing with questions of value in relation to cultural artifacts. Going back to Adorno is not meant to be understood as an investigation of a pristine origin that should be recuperated, but as an involvement with a work that changes according to the tensions the present imposes on it.Downloads
