Abstract

The objective of this work is to show that the voices of Fernando Pessoa and Nietzsche are in tune concerning the precedence of poetry and the defense of the divine character of man. To this end, it find support in the formulations of the above-mentioned authors, and in Vico, Shelley, Octavio Paz and George Steiner. The results indicate that PessoaCampos and Nietzsche elaborate the analogy between the poet – in this case, the author of Thus Spoke Zarathustra, the philosopher – and God.
