Communes and soviets: past and future of proletarian power with many names and colors

Abstract

Based on an examination of the impacts thatthe Paris Commune produced on the theoryof the state and revolution in Marx, I discussin a simplified form some of the advances andchallenges in that theory. With this objective,I examine some aspects of contemporarygovernments that present themselves as antisystemtic.The goal is to contribute to theformulation of minimum parameters for a frank andproductive dialogue between forces that currentlyproclaim themselves to be oriented toward socialisttransformation.
