Abstract

In an exercise of reflection, this article seeks to examine the dictatorship in Brazil from a perspectivethat relates history, memory and ideology, revisiting the topic on the occasion of the50th anniversary of the military coup. The reflection is based on the assumption that the pastis, at the same time, past and present.
