Abstract

This article examines two of the most recent reactions to the offensive of capital: the outragedSpaniards, a movement that developed from mid-May until the fall of 2011, and the OccupyWall Street (OWS) movement, which began in mid-September of 2011 in New York, spread tohundreds of cities of all sizes in the United States, and continued in some of them, especiallyon the west coast, during the initial months of 2012.These two different movements areemphasized due to the fact that both are characterized by a general questioning of neoliberalpolicies.
