Abstract

Some theses formulated from within the debate on Solidary and Feminist Economy affirm that there exist certain roles for working women in social transformation. This article will interrogate such theses regarding women’s work in associations and cooperatives of recyclable materials in Brazil. The purpose of the text is to reflect to what extent this assertion mystifies the exploitation of women’s work.
