This article investigates the coverage by the media, specifically the Folha de S. Paulo and O Estado de S. Paulo, of events in which women are protagonists of direct political action. The object is to understand how they are portrayed, departing from the hypothesis that in general the media uses sexist and discriminatory language. We note that in many spaces the speech of those organizing and participating in events was not even heard, reiterating the inferior hierarchical position that women occupy in society. The media not only reproduces that position but also produces it daily.Downloads
