Abstract

This article provides a brief evaluation of the evolution of the national question in the vision of Marx and Engels, followed by an analysis of how Lenin incorporated it in his reflections, adding the imbrication between the national, the social and the colonial through the distinction between oppressed nations and oppressor nations and how they were appropriated by the authors of foundational Latin American Marxism. Finally, it underscores the fecundity and timeliness of Lenin’s theory.
