Abstract

Cooperatives created with the support of the state and labor unions, or as part of the organization of workers in a social movement, are studied based on some elements that influence the concept of the solidarity economy. Synthesizing the analysis of data obtained through the investigation of cooperative experiences, we reflect on the ambiguities that surround associative work in the current phase of capitalism, resuming the debate on the possibility (or not) of producing new social relations, through cooperatives, under the rule of capital.
