Abstract

In this interview, Verônica Ferreira discusses her intellectual and activist trajectories and her encounters with the legacy of Heleieth Saffioti, especially the debates about patriarchy, the “knot” of social class, gender and race relations, and the materialist perspective. The dialogue between Heleieth Saffioti and the feminist struggle in Brazil and Latin America is emphasized through the relationship between Saffioti and SOS Corpo – Feminist Institute for Democracy. Also discussed are Saffioti’s contributions to thinking about contexts and the Northeast.
