The author makes a critical analysis of thegovernments of Evo Morales, in Bolivia, andRafael Correa, in Ecuador. The social andpolitical processes in both countries are like twopeas in a pod. Both approved a PlurinationalState and new constitutions, but when it cametime to apply their ideas they were faced withserious obstacles. The indigenous base groupsand the urban popular sectors brought Moralesand Correa to power, and those same groupsare now protesting against “their” governments.Metrics
