40 years at PED. Evidence of a (well-)accomplished mission

Abstract

The article briefly relates the historical-political creation context of the Program of Psychology of Education - PED, from PUC-SP and enhances the role played in this context by a group of researchers and institution managers at the time. Amongs them, it can be outlined the name of Professor Joel Martins that created PED and was responsible - during years - for an internal articulation not only at PED, but through all the Post-Graduation section. Here are presented elements that indicate the impact of PED on the educational and psychological scenario during its 40 years of existence. At last, issues regarding PED's professoriate are recalled, in a way to invite them to consider their objectives, tradition and possibilities for answering a demand for formation in our program.
