This article presents Spherology, theory developed by the German philosopher Peter Sloterdijk. It is divided into three parts: 1) who is Peter Sloterdijk; 2) introduction to the Spherology theory and 3) the author’s theory on depression. As a method, bibliographic research is used with the work of commentators and the author himself to present his concepts of Nobjects and Spheres, and the resulting understanding of depression. Spherology seeks to understand how the human being relates existentially to his space, more specifically, how he inhabits his world. To this end, the philosopher starts from the principle that all existence necessarily begins through relationships, and it is through these that dwelling is constituted. Sloterdijk works with the idea that all life is moved and animated from the relationship with its intimate allies - existential companions that promote and sustain existential meaning - and it is through these strong relationships that the subject constitutes his dwelling in the world. With this, the author elaborates a corresponding etiological theory about the phenomenon of depression: it is the loss of the complementing pole (nobject). The article seeks, then, to introduce the author to Psy- studies, understanding that Spherology opens up new perspectives in Psychopathology and Clinical Psychological.
