Indicators of Positive Health: A Study with Expatriate Employees

Abstract

The objective of this study was to describe five psychosocial indicators of positive health of expatriate employees. Sample was used for convenience of 16 people participating in programs of organizational expatriation. The instrument was a questionnaire consisting of eight measures of the variables included in the study. Analyses were performed descriptive statistics; differences between means tested and calculated correlation coefficients between variables. The results revealed that expatriates had more opportunities to experience positive emotional feelings than negative in their international experiences and maintain a positive outlook about the future, indicating a slightly enhanced sense of optimism; there is evidence of positive health.
