Pedrinho’s notebooks: Lessons, the beating stick, memorizing.

Abstract

The theme proposed in this article is the reconstructed memory of the school process, the way it occurred in the northwest region of Minas Gerais. It has its focus on the practice of two ancient western masters that acted around from 1937 to 1944. “Pedrinho’s notebooks”, the beating stick, and the resource of lesson memorization practices, were constituted in its artifacts and tactics of the masters and how they teach in that context.
