Abstract

ABSTRACT
The suboccipital muscles are small muscles located in the posterior cervical region extending head atlanto-occipital joint and rotate with the atlas on the axis. The close relations of the muscles, vertebral artery and branches of the first cervical nerve compression create conditions for the neuro-vascular formations in suboccipital triangle. The aim of this study was to report the obliquus capitis inferior muscle supernumerary and clinical implications relevant to this muscle.
