Abstract

ABSTRACT Objective: the aim of this study is to present the results of laparoscopic surgery in the treatment of solitary adrenal metastasis of non-small cell lung cancer patients. Methods: four patients with non-small cell lung cancer solitary adrenal metastasis were submitted to transperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy. Results: the period of follow-up was five years. Three patients had lung cancer recurrence and/or metastasis and died, but one of them was considered cured after five years of follow-up. Conclusion: the laparoscopic approach is feasible in cases with solitary metastasis of non-small cell lung cancer. However, our experience with this disease is limited due to its rarity.
