Crohn’s disease is an inflammatory bowel disease of unknown etiology that affects the gastrointestinal tract, and it may attack other organs, including the gallbladder. Among the hepatobiliary manifestations, patients may have cholecystitis, cholelithiasis, cholangitis. The association between Crohn’s disease and gallstone disease is well established: these patients are more likely to develop gallstones because of changes in the composition of bile and the reduced motility of the gallbladder. We describe a case in which a patient with Crohn’s disease showed cholelithiasis.Downloads
