Abstract

ABSTRACT The Chagas' Disease, whose etiologic agent is the protozoan parasite Trypanosoma cruzi, is one of the most important endemic diseases in the American continent. This infection can take the diverse organic routes in the human beings, what it takes the necessity of diverse cares of the point of view medical-assistance. The main objective of this study was to evaluate the possibility of transmission of the Trypanosoma cruzi through the renal tissues transference between BALB/c mice. For in such a way, 20 animals with serological and histological positive tests for the presence of the protozoan had been sacrificed, its organs (heart and kidney) had been removed, and were produced one macerated from these. This macerated was injected in two groups (control/heart and experimental/kidney), each one with 15 mice. Each one of the groups was divided in 3 sub-groups: animals imunosupressed with cyclosporine or hydrocortisone and animals that had not received immunosuppressive drugs. To the end of two months of the inoculation of macerated the animals had been sacrificed and submitted the serological test. One high tax of mortality of the animals inoculated with 100.000 forms of parasites of Y strain was observed; as well as if it can establish an inverse relation how much to the cronicity and the number of inoculated forms. Also serology was evidenced after the presence of antibodies against Trypanosoma cruzi in the imunosupressed ones that they had received macerated from cardiac and renal tissue of animals previously contaminated with the parasite.
