This is an interventional, epidemiological study carried out by medical students through an integrative literature review. In this review, it was observed that women of childbearing age have many difficulties regarding oral contraceptives. Thus, an intervention project was reated to inform and answer recurring questions about the use of oral contraceptives among
these women which made use of social media due to its high impact rate, in addition to raising a discussion on combined oral contraceptives by reviewing the literature. The product of the action and intervention made by the project was the elaboration of an informative digital flyer qualitatively referenced and shared, concomitantly with a didactic video on the subject prepared by the researchers themselves and based on previously researched bibliographical references. Both productions were shared on major social media. Data collected on the reach and views of these posts were tabulated for a discussion of such an experience, along with a literature review on combined oral contraceptives. This intervention showed that dissemination of scientific research was extremely important, given the results on views and reach. Finally, a positive impact on the target audience was observed.
