Abstract

The relations between emotions and the digestive device are known since the beginning. Some authors affirm that the digestive pipe is the organic system through which the feelings if they express more commonly and that the gastrointestinal disturbance constitute, with the chronic headaches, the more frequent psychosomatic illnesses in medicine.  The depression represents one of the psychiatric upheavals of bigger prevalence, estimating that up to 6% of the general population is attacked for it. We consider that 15% of the population will present depressive symptoms at some moment of the life.  During professional experiences, a great index of individuals affected for  gast rointest inal disturbances was perceived, many of them with concomitant depressive upheavals.
