Verbo-Visual Dimension in Utterances from Scientifc American Brasil

Abstract

The utterances of the scientific diffusion are characterized by the dialogue between the knowledge from the scientific sphere with the others spheres. It will be investigated the relationships between the images and the text, materialized in the partnership between illustrations and verbal material. The corpus of the research is formed by articles from the magazine Scientific American Brasil published from 2002 to 2007. The analyses will focus the senses produced by the “synthetic illustration” in a cover.
