Dostoevsky and Bakhtin: the philosophy of composition and the composition of philosophy

This paper seeks to demonstrate the affinities existing between Dostoevsky’s literary achievement and Mikhail Bakhtin’s philosophical one. Through a comparative analysis it concludes that the polyphony, the fundamental characteristics Dostoevsky’s novels according to Bakhtin is as an artistic synthesis of philosophical concepts such as uniqueness, responsibility, incompleteness and dialogism.Downloads
