Tradução e análise de um sigíllion copta da Tebas egípcia

A papirologia copta compreende textos nos mais diversos temas, como cartas e documentos de caráter legal. Um exemplo deste último – um pedido para vendas, sob o termo de sigíllion – configura o tema desse artigo, juntamente a uma proposta de tradução e breve análise. O papiro, encontrado em Tebas, no Egito, foi escrito por dois monges do distrito de Djēme e contém informações sobre uma permissão para que três outros monges pudessem vender seus trabalhos manuais. A permissão, datada para o séc. VIII d.C. (provavelmente no ano 728), é escrita a um emir e constitui um importante instrumento no entendimento de como as relações comerciais eram realizadas nesse período, visto que apenas outros três locais obtinham a produção de sigíllia. Além disso, o papiro cumpre a função de mostrar como a língua copta e grega eram utilizadas nessa época, seguindo uma tradição secular mesmo após a invasão árabe em território egípcio.
