A profecia e seus desdobramentos como elementos diferenciadores na tradução de A Casa das Sete Mulheres

Starting from a case study – the intersemiotic translation of “A Casa das Sete Mulheres”, book written by Leticia Wierzchowski, into the miniseries of the same name by Walter Negrão and Maria Adelaide Amaral – this article intends to demonstrate how prophecy and its consequences are used as distinguishing elements on this translation process. Regarding the combination of languages and the translations of cultural production practices of television speech, memory is included as a factor in the interaction between past and present, facilitating interventions on the timing of the plot. The use of colors on the description of the book or in the scenarios presented on television also has the quality of adding complexity to the story.Downloads
