Over the course of time, many authors have appropriated fairy tales in order to compile and reinvent them, as has been made by Grimm Brothers. It is not about a mere copy or giving answers and solutions of moralizing effect. Recurrently, the treason to the original fairy tale prospers by the literary rearrangement of the text. On the recreation process, it is very common to make use of known stories which result in getting new meanings and formats. It is in such contextthat we can insert the story Perdida estava a meta da morfose, from the book Contos de amor rasgado, by Marina Colasanti. In this narrative, as in others samples of her huge production, the author surpasses the limits of the traditional fairy tales. On a literary play which involves betrayal and seduction, enchantment and disenchantment, fascination and disappointment, Colasanti's text incites a break in the reader's horizon of expectation.
