In this paper, we propose a reading analysis of the book of poems Triple Frontera Dreams, by contemporary Brazilian writer Douglas Diegues, and the book of short stories Luuanda, by Angolan prose writer José Luandino Vieira. We are particularly interested in problematizing the issues of idiomatic hybridism, polyphony and miscegenation of literary genres that shape these artistic projects. Based on this analysis, we investigate possible aesthetic affinities and correspondences of world projects crossed in these Lusophone literatures. By transfiguring the spaces in which they travel to the literary level, Diegues and Luandino represent the Brazilian and Angolan peripheries as environments that welcome dreams and subjectivities, destabilizing the stereotypical and reductive image – related to misery, bizarreness and servitude – commonly associated to the poor people who live on the margins of the Western world. To develop this paper, we have based, above all, on studies by authors such as Abdala Júnior; Krenak and Candido.
