The following article is part of a broader research on the use of spiritist poetry as a bibliotherapeutic resource. Given the vastness of spiritual authors, the name of Casimiro Cunha was chosen because he is one of the most fruitful poets among other by psychography by Chico Xavier and because, in previous readings, his poetry addresses themes conducive to bibliotherapeutic practice, namely, faith, hope, trust, resignation and humility. First, a search was made for the entire production of Xavier to find and catalog Cunha's poems. It was found 601 poems distributed in 76 books. Next, the three solo books of Cunha were elected for analysis of his poetics and, consequently, the choice of which poems would be most suitable for bibliotherapeutic practice. Therefore, through bibliographic and analytical research, it is presented that Cunha's poetics is profitable and pertinent to therapy through the literature, since it is direct, uses language and simple images, excels in musicality and conciseness, and, most importantly, deals with comforting, encouraging, stimulating and appeasing themes; to help those who experience various emotional problems and/or delicate situations, such as hospitalization.
