Theoretical perspectives for constructing interfaces between religion studies and literature

This article presents some theoretical perspectives that can be used in research related to the interfaces between Religious Studies and literature. Its objective is to highlight the relevance of theoretical contributions for the development of academic productions (articles, papers, book chapters, etc.) in the field of Theopoetics. The premise, which serves as the justification for this text, is that, in principle, theoretical and methodological frameworks, especially those offered by literary studies, make the dialogue between religion and literature more fruitful. Since it is impossible to address countless methods and theories in their specificities, three perspectives will be presented in their broadest terms, each focusing on one of the variables that interact in the act of reading: i) the context in which the text was created; ii) the "textual strategies" that characterize the text; iii) the dynamics of text reception. Due to the didactic nature of the article, the theoretical perspectives will be accompanied by a practical example of reading a literary text.
