Enunciation in Michel Pêcheux: A Disturbing Question

Abstract

The current study aims to answer the following questions: 1) What notions of enunciation can be derived from Michel Pêcheux’s discursive reflection in the early years of his production? 2) What is the status assumed by enunciation in the scope of DA in this period? For this purpose, an examination into the French philosopher’s texts published from 1969 to 1975 is made in order to investigate the problem of enunciation in these writings. The analysis of the theoretical corpus allows the examination of several notions of enunciation, which as a whole reveal an epistemological status and a theoretical-methodological status of enunciation in the establishment of the Pecheutian DA founding bases.

Giovane Fernandes Oliveira, UFRGS

Doutorando em Estudos da Linguagem, vinculado à linha de pesquisa "Análises Textuais, Discursivas e Enunciativas", do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Letras da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Graduado em Licenciatura em Letras - Língua Portuguesa, Língua Francesa e suas Literaturas pela mesma instituição (2016). Realizou um semestre de mobilidade acadêmica na Université de Rouen (França), onde cursou disciplinas na graduação em Sciences du Langage - Français Langue Étrangère e no mestrado em Sciences du Langage - Diffusion du Français (2015). Tem interesse pelos seguintes campos: 1) Epistemologia da Linguística e História das Ideias Linguísticas, com foco nos legados de Ferdinand de Saussure e Émile Benveniste; 2) Linguística da Enunciação, com foco na perspectiva enunciativa benvenistiana; 3) Aquisição da Linguagem, com foco na aquisição da língua materna falada e escrita; 4) Estudos do Letramento, com foco nos letramentos escolar e acadêmico; 5) Estudos do Texto, com foco em leitura, produção textual e oralidade letrada; e 6) Educação Linguística, com foco em ensino, aprendizagem e avaliação de Língua Portuguesa. Membro da Associação Brasileira de Linguística (ABRALIN). Integrante do projeto de pesquisa "A (re)invenção de discursos na aquisição e no processo de ensino-aprendizagem de língua materna: uma abordagem enunciativa", coordenado pela Profa. Dra. Carmem Luci da Costa Silva. Organizador do site "Estudos enunciativos", página de divulgação científica que busca dar a conhecer as pesquisas desenvolvidas na UFRGS a partir da teoria da linguagem benvenistiana.
