<strong>PAULO FREIRE AND MILTON SANTOS A union in favor of the citizenship and Solidarity</strong>

Abstract

The present paper intends to establish a relationship between the two world-renowned Brazilian thinkers’ ideas by Paulo Freire and Milton Santos. Their contributions regarded to the Social Sciences studies were analyzed and the work also illustrates some ideas in which the authors’ political views converge. In addition, it demonstrates they always had the intention to contribute through their knowledge in order to make people become subjects of the historical process and, therefore, to make possible new forms of sociability to emerge and improve the citizenship and solidarity.
