Anti-Plagiarism Policy
Educação Matemática Pesquisa adopts a zero-tolerance policy towards bad academic practices, committing itself to the highest ethical integrity in scientific publication. Plagiarism, in all its forms – improper appropriation of ideas, verbatim transcription without due credit, abusive paraphrasing, and self-plagiarism (recycling of content previously published by the author themselves) – constitutes a serious violation of copyright and the ethical principles governing research in Mathematics Education.
As part of our commitment to originality and scientific rigor, all submitted manuscripts undergo similarity verification using specialized software (such as Turnitin or CopySpider).
Procedures in Case of Plagiarism Detection
In order to guarantee the right to adversarial proceedings and a full defense, while preserving the scientific quality of the publication, the Journal Educação Matemática Pesquisa establishes the following procedures:
Authors are expected to ensure that the submitted work is unpublished and original, and is not under simultaneous evaluation in another journal. The correct attribution of authorship and respect for the intellectual property of other researchers and mathematics educators are fundamental for the construction of knowledge in our field.
