Estudo das funções do discurso na resolução de problemas matemáticos<br>Study of the functions of discourse in mathematics problem solving

Resumen

Com a presente pesquisa, buscamos identificar as operações discursivas recorrentes, utilizadas por alunos, na resolução de problemas matemáticos. Procuramos identificar as diferenças de discurso na resolução de problemas segundo o grau de escolaridade e também segundo a validade do ponto de vista de argumentação matemática. Procuramos soluções para as perguntas: Que operações discursivas são mais recorrentes pelos alunos na resolução de problemas matemáticos? Há diferenças de discurso na resolução de problemas segundo o grau de escolaridade? O discurso utilizado na resolução do problema matemático é válido do ponto de vista de argumentação matemática? As reflexões analíticas foram fundamentadas na Teoria de Representações Semióticas, segundo Raymond Duval, que se mostrou adequada para oferecer explicações sobre as diferentes formas de resolver problemas e de validá-las do ponto de vista da argumentação matemática. Avançamos com algumas análises e nos aproximamos de algumas soluções, que foram expostas ao longo do texto.

The aim of this research was to identify the recurrent discursive operations used by students in the resolution of math problems. The study tried to identify the difference in the discourse used in the resolution of problems according to students’ level of schooling, as well as to the point of view present in the mathematical reasoning. To this end, the study tried to answer the following questions: What discursive operations are more used by students in the resolution of mathematical problems? Are there any differences in the discourse used by students in the resolution of problems according to their level of schooling? Is the discourse used in the resolution of mathematical problems valid in terms of math reasoning? The analytical reflections in the Semiotic Representation Theory, according to Raymond Duval, were adequate to offer explanations concerning the different forms of solving problems and validating them from a mathematical reasoning point of view. The study provided the advancement of some analysis and also allowed us to present some solutions.
