Abstract

This paper discusses the pedagogical formation on distance teaching modality. Distance Education (DE) is one of various ways to solve the large problem concerning the access to the Higher Education System. On the other hand, DE can still bring a lot of doubts about its effectiveness on didactic transposition of curriculum contents. We focus the brazilian history of teacher formation based on the national curriculum policies, as well as the implementation of teachers formation courses through DE. Our argument of analysis is the strategies of didactic pedagogical mediation and the curriculum practices. Our discussion also focuses on the teacher formation after appearing a new paradigm that passes over the traditional model in developing the teaching-learning process at higher education in Brazil.
