<strong>BRAZILIAN SIGN LANGUAGE (LIBRAS)-LITERATURE AND LINGUISTIC TEACHER TRAINING: BUILDING A CURRICULUM</strong>

This paper presents the pedagogic proposal for the Letras-Libras Sign Language Program using E-learning education, from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina with eight universities around Brazil. In this paper, we discuss the curriculum that was designed for Deaf students. This course is correlated to the affirmative policies that our country is following in the last decades. Looking at the Decree 5626/2005, the Letras Libras Sign Language Program seek to guarantee the social inclusion of Deaf in the society through academic education, opening places for work. The teachers that will graduate will work in the education of future teachers in their education at undergraduate level, also they will teach the students from Audiology, as well as in the basic education of Deaf and hearing children. This course has Brazilian Sign Language as the first language.Downloads
