This report aims to reflect on the use of CTI in English classes, which in our case is the use of laptops. We also intend to deepen the knowledge about the forms of interaction in groups, how and when they occur and consider methods to motivate and encourage research and writing in a foreign language through themes included in the students socio-cultural environment. Besides this, analyse self- assessment to develop co-responsibility to achieve a personal or a group goal. Data collection was performed at Colégio Estadual Dom Alano Marie Du Noday, in Palmas-TO, in English classes during the first semester of 2008 and the analysis of data was interpretative. With this research, we intend teachers to use laptops not only as a simple tool but as a facilitator to build the knowledge and the development of citizenship.Metrics
