Abstract

This article makes a bibliographical review of 26 doctor’s theses and master’s dissertations on the relation of work associated with self-managed education. The works tend to affirm that self-management is a magnificent school since it is through this that the working class faces real challenges: to denaturalize the separation between those who direct and those who are directed; to fight collectively; to divide work in a different manner; to take turns in functions; to concentrate strategic decisions in democratic assemblies; to question capitalist hierarchical salaries; to generate a collective learning process. The works also observe that education, within the orbit of capital, forms subordinate beings and, with it, the necessary qualification to reproduce this, while the pedagogy of associate production would lead to a qualitatively different formation and qualification.
