Call for Thematic Dossier - Language teaching and everyday practices: dialogic-decolonial perspectives in pedagogical work with text

2024-08-27

Based on the principle that reading the world precedes reading the word (Freire, 2000) and that language is dialogic and interactional, this dossier aims to bring together works that reflect and refract language teaching practices, based on work with discourse genres, in an inter/transdisciplinary way, based on the theoretical and methodological assumptions of the Bakhtin Circle (1995, 2003), the decolonial proposal (Mignolo, 2007; Walsh, 2013, 2020; Quijano, 2009), Freirean principles (1968, 2019), concepts of Textual Linguistics (Koch, 2004, 2008; Marcuschi, 2008, 2010; Antunes, 2009), among others.

To compose this dossier, interesting works are those that deal with: i) different approaches to the text; ii) methodological proposals that culminate in the elaboration of teaching material; iii) pedagogical practices that contemplate the reading and production of texts; as well as iv) other activities on the teaching of languages developed in a horizontal, active, reflective and responsive way.
