This volume aims, based on the philosophy of affects (Spinoza, 1656/2009) and destabilizing affective categories and their emotional effects, to expand the discussion of the affective turn in Applied Linguistics.

A Revista The Especialist (Qualis A3) é uma revista de publicação semestral, vinculada ao Programa de Pós-Graduação de Linguística Aplicada e Estudos da Linguagem da PUC-SP, em conjunto com o grupo de pesquisa ILCAE - Inclusão Linguística em Cenários de Atividades Escolares.

Recebe artigos, ensaios e resenhas com trabalhos que versam sobre diferentes áreas das linguagens em Linguística Aplicada, tais como: abordagens teóricas e aplicadas ao ensino-aprendizagem de línguas maternas e estrangeiras; formação de professores e coordenadores de programas de ensino de línguas; análise do discurso; interação em sala de aula; análise de gêneros linguísticos; linguística de corpus; educação a distância; tecnologia digital e ensino-aprendizagem de línguas; línguas para fins específicos; relatos de experiência docente sistematizada.
