<strong>MANAGEMENT AND USE OF MEDIA IN DISTANCE EDUCATION PROJECTS </strong>

Abstract

This text presents some thoughts on the use of different Types of media for educational projects, basically in distance education projects. It is assumed, among other things, that the nature of each media support will require specific and appropriate planning of the pedagogical process that will be using it. It is considered here that - just as each teaching method requires a different approach, even for the same content, in accordance with considerations such as the students levels, the objectives to be reached, and the space and time available - every media support has its specific approaches and forms of treatment of content which, when used, will change the way that teaching is prepared and executed. This leads to a reflexion on the necessity of developing a "media plan" in distance education, principally, for definition and management and use of media in the educational institution. Several criteria for the organization of this plan are presented.
